Paul's creative projects have been presented to some of the world's finest composers including John Adams, Pierre Boulez, James MacMillan and Arvo Pärt.
Here are some examples of his work:
Rumble in the Jungle
a ground-breaking composition project which brought musicians from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra together with nursery schools from East Renfrewshire Council. Inspired by the children’s book Rumble in the Jungle by Giles Andreae, the project encouraged very young children to explore structuring and shaping sound to create their own music. The project won a Royal Philharmonic Society Award in 2000.
a multi-media project for the BBC Proms inspired by John Adams' On The Transmigration of Souls. Teenagers created an installation in response to Adams' memorial to the victims of 9/11. Their artwork and music was exhibited in the Royal College of Art and presented to John Adams prior to his performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

Petrushka in Sydney
a creative project for young musicians in New South Wales with the London Symphony Orchestra. Over the course of just 5 days, young musicians from across the state reinterpreted Stravinsky's ballet and then inserted their newly created response into the original score. The result was a hybrid performance of Petrushka which they performed with the LSO. Half of the music was faithful to the original ballet, but the other half was entirely of their own creation.
